Bites: New South End Restaurant Opening in August

Restaurateur Ken Oringer (KO Prime, Clio, Toro) and Jamie Bissonette (Chef de Cuisine, Toro) are opening a new restaurant aptly named Coppa on Shawmut Ave in the South End. The new eatery will be taking over the old Dish Restaurant space and promises to offer a range of Italian dishes including bar snacks, small plates, pizza, and homemade pasta. The collaboration between Oringer and Bissonette promises to be the neighborhood spot the Eight Streets crowd has been craving since Dish departed last fall. With its intimate space seating just 40 inside and a great summertime patio for 25, this spot is sure to please when it opens in August offering the much coveted patio seat in a prime people watching location.
