What is TENANT REPRESENTATION?
The official definition is an arrangement whereby a prospective tenant engages a real estate broker to act as its exclusive agent in negotiating a lease for commercial space. In most instances, commercial tenants choosing to work with a tenant representative are not charged fees as brokerage fees are typically paid by the landlord. Although the cost of services is free to tenants, the value is priceless. Tenant representation saves clients money over the life of their lease; it can reduce risks and liabilities as well as allow you as the tenant to spend more time focusing on your core business.
