Live-Work Loft Options in Boston

Remember the days when lofts were strictly a haven for artists? Now it seems that the majority of condo buyers, unless looking for full-service / white glove amenities, are looking for some loft-like quality, be it as simple as an open floor plan, or including unique characteristics such as: wood or steel beams, converted elevator shafts, exposed brick, huge factory style windows, barrel vaulted ceilings, and other details that sets them apart and adds substance. Boston condo buyers are no different and even buyers looking for luxury condos are getting some of the loft-like qualities delivered. The good news is that Boston’s age and its history of manufacturing have blessed us with wonderful buildings and neighborhoods where restored lofts can thrive. Live / work lofts can be found in Somerville, South End, Cambridge, Chelsea & South Boston / Seaport mostly if you are looking for specifically zoned Commercial / Res.
